TOWN OF CHARLEMONT INVITATION FOR BIDS COMMUNITY PARK IMPROVEMENTS The Town of Charlemont, Massachusetts, acting through the Selectboard, invites sealed bids for the Community Park Improvements Project located at 10 School Street, Charlemont, MA. The work generally includes demolition and removal of existing tennis courts and appurtenances; construction of approximately 1,110 square yards of new asphalt court surfaces; installation of fencing, drainage and infiltration improvements, ADA-accessible pathways, picnic area improvements, parking lot striping, site furnishings, and all related work as shown on the plans and specifications. This project is being procured in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. The estimated construction cost is $220,000. Bid documents may be obtained beginning June 8, 2026, from the Town Administrator's Office, Town Hall, 157 Main Street, Charlemont, MA 01339, or by email request to administrator@townofcharlemont.org. A five percent (5%) bid deposit is required with each bid. Sealed bids will be received until 1 PM on Jun 26, 2026, at: Town Administrator's Office Town Hall 157 Main Street Charlemont, MA 01339 at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and provide required insurance coverage prior to contract award. Prevailing wages as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards apply. The Town of Charlemont reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of the Town as permitted by law.
