NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DEERFIELD COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE In accordance with MGL Chapter 44B, Section 5(b)(1) and Town of Deerfield Bylaws, Chapter 10, Section 23, the Deerfield Community Preservation Committee will hold a public hearing on October 22, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the main room of the Deerfield Town Office Building, 8 Conway Street, South Deerfield, MA. The purpose of the hearing is to present an overview of the Community Preservation Act, the Community Preservation Committee and how it functions, CPA projects that can be funded, and the new draft of the Deerfield CPC Plan. Attendees will be asked to provide feedback. All Deerfield voters, town departments, town committees, and non-profit organizations interested in the utilization of CPA funds are urged to attend this meeting. More information on the Community Preservation Act and funding applications is available at the Deerfield website: https://www.deerfieldma.us/241/Community-Preservation-Committee. WHEN: 6 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible. PROPOSAL: The proposed project consists of replacing the existing bridge with a new structure and provide a new roadway alignment that will connect to the new single span bridge. New sections of the roadway will be unpaved with a surface of compacted gravel that will match the existing facility. Shared accommodations will match the existing conditions with two 9 feet travel lanes. This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities.
