ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDDERS TOWN ADMINISTRATOR 6 Prospect Street, Orange, MA 01364 Sealed Proposals addressed to the Airport Manager, Orange Municipal Airport, 80 Airport Street, Orange, Massachusetts and endorsed "Contract 5-21-2026 - Abatement & Demolition of Hangars 15 & 16" will be accepted by the Airport Manager at Orange Municipal Airport, 80 Airport Street, Orange, Massachusetts. Bids will be accepted until May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Airport Meeting Room at the Orange Municipal Airport. The work consists of bulk removal of asbestos-impacted debris associated with Hangar 15 and abatement of asbestos-containing materials at Hangar 16, as well as complete demolition of Hangar 16 at Orange Municipal Airport. The anticipated construction value of this project is $100,000 to $110,000. Drawings, work plans, and proposal forms will be emailed upon request by contacting airport@townoforange.org. Drawings and work plans will be available on and after May 5, 2026. The Bid Security from the Contractor in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check, drawn upon a responsible bank in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be made payable to the Town of Orange, Massachusetts and shall be enclosed with the bid. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in the full amount of the contract will be required of the successful bidder. Attention is called to the following: A. Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. B. Wages are subject to Massachusetts' minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. C. The successful bidder must comply with Chapter 151B as amended, of the Massachusetts General Laws and with the provisions of Executive Order No. 74, as amended by Executive Order No. 116 dated May 1, 1975, pertaining to Equal Opportunity Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action. The responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest qualified price shall be awarded the project.
